February 2021 Meeting hears Hows and Whys of becoming Certified

Bill Glen, Certified Genealogist (CG) addressed the February Meeting of the Society on the topic of “How and Why to be Certified”.  He covered the process for meeting the certification levels for the Genealogical Institute of the Maritimes (GIM) and what that means for anyone contemplating an application. Liz Glen, also a (CG), was present as well.

Genealogists and family historians in the Maritimes who wish to have their skills recognized may not all be aware of their good fortune to be able to approach the Genealogical Institute of the Maritimes (GIM) for Certification. The PEI Genealogical Society was pleased to present this opportunity to discover the Whys and Hows of Certification.
