Annual General Meeting and PEI Genealogy Fair 29 April 2017

The 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the PEI Genealogical Society took place on Saturday 29 April 2017. The AGM was a part of a day-long PEI Genealogy Fair where the general public as well as members heard presentations and had direct access to experienced family history researchers assembled to answer your questions about genealogical research challenges. For beginners it was a wonderful opportunity to tap into invaluable knowledge gained over many decades of research and recording. The Fair was designed for all levels from novice genealogists to published family historians.

Memberships are available year round by contacting the Society at or attending one of our regular meetings which occur in February, April, September and November. Watch this website for details of those meetings. You can also click on the “Membership” tab on our homepage for all the details.

It is through the kindness of people like you who take out a membership to support the Society’s objectives and activities that we are able to provide a valuable service to people with Prince Edward Island family connections. Cemetery transcripts for all of PEI, our attractive webpage and the hundreds of thousands of records in our Master Name Index accessible at the top right of our page, (the green “Search for Records” button), these are three of the resources for family history that you support by becoming a member. And you get to participate in the design and delivery of activities year round and in decision making at our Annual General Meeting.
