We are excited to invite you to reserve Saturday 28 April 2018 for our Second Annual PEIGS Genealogy Fair. Open to all from Beginner to Professional. 

THEME – How Can You Ensure That Your Genealogy Will Outlast You?

Location: 10 Northridge Parkway, Latter Day Saints Church, Charlottetown

Doors Open 9:30 a.m.   Closing 3:30 p.m.

 9:30 a.m. Registration and Resource Tables Open for the day (*see list of tables below)

10:30 – 11:00 “The Mildred Marion Stewart Story” – Mike Dixon

11:00 – 11:30 “Where Community and Family History Meet – Things You Can Do To Preserve Your Stories” – Dan McAskill features the communities of the Hillsborough River

11:30 – 12:00 PEI Genealogical Society Annual Meeting – open to all.

12:00 – 12:45 Lunch* / Networking/ Table Topics – delegates may visit Resource Tables (*While snacks will be available in the morning and the afternoon you are responsible for bringing your own lunch)

12:45 – 1:45 “Challenges of Inheriting a Large Collection” – Susan Leard

 1:45 – 2:15  Table Topics – delegates may visit Resource Tables

 2:15 – 2:45  “Donating Historical Objects” Lesley Caseley (PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation)

 2:45 – 3:15  “Taking Care: Ensuring your Important Family Material has a Future” – Jannah Toms and Claire Trainor (Archivists with PEI Public Archives and Records Office)

 3:15 – 3:30 Table Topics – delegates may visit Resource Tables; Evaluations and Wrap Up
