Links to articles on the Descendants of PEI’s seven Fathers of Confederation will be published here as soon as they are available from our researchers and writers. A new article will appear on or about the 27th of each month through August 2014.

Our latest article: “Tracing the descendants of P.E.I.’s Fathers of Confederation” features the descendants of Thomas Heath Haviland, published in The Guardian newspaper 24 April 2014. Find it here  The lead researcher is Linda Jean Nicholson.

“P.E.I. Father of Confederation leaves lasting legacy” was the second of our featured stories, it was the inspiring yet tragedy-filled story of Edward Whelan, published in The Guardian newspaper 27 March 2014.  Find it here  The lead researcher is Elizabeth Glen, CG(C).

“Taking pride in their past in P.E.I.” was the first of our featured stories, this one on the descendants of Colonel John Hamilton Gray, published in The Guardian newspaper 27 February 2014. Find it here  The lead researcher is Lou Daley, CG(C).

An introductory article on our 2014 Project was published earlier in February titled “The Genealogy of the PEI Fathers of Confederation”. It also provided background on the accomplishments of the PEI Genealogical Society. Find it here published by our project partner The Guardian newspaper.
